The persistent top toolbar in TRAX POS acts as the cashier’s command center, providing live hardware monitoring, operational tools, and instant terminal security.
1. System Metadata & Tools Frame #
Located on the left side of the top bar:
- Session Duration Timer (⏱️): Displays active working time elapsed during the current shift (e.g.,
02h 15m 40s). - Date & Live Clock (📅): Real-time store calendar date and clock.
- Quick Action Buttons:
- Reload (🔄): Refreshes the application state and synchronizes catalog changes without closing the active cashier session.
- Calculator (🧮): Opens a quick floating arithmetic calculator for custom unit conversions or manual calculations.
- Screen Lock (🔒): Red lock button that immediately triggers the secure PIN overlay.

2. Connected Devices Health Panel #
Located on the right side of the toolbar, this panel continuously audits hardware peripherals:
- 🟢 Receipt Printer: Glowing green indicates thermal printer is online and ready; gray indicates disconnected/offline.
- 🟢 Barcode Label Printer: Status of connected sticker printer.
- 🟢 Cash Drawer: Status of drawer RJ11 connection.
- 🟢 Barcode Scanner: Confirms active USB/Bluetooth HID scanner link.
- 🟢 Customer Display: Confirms real-time WebSocket pairing with the customer-facing secondary monitor.
- 🟢 Network Status: Shows live cloud connection health.
3. Cashier Security PIN Lock #
When stepping away from the register:
- Tap the red Lock icon on the top toolbar.
- The entire interface freezes behind a high-security black overlay.
- Unauthorized personnel cannot view sales, inspect cash drawer totals, or manipulate carts.
- Entering your 4-to-6-digit personal PIN on the numeric keypad unlocks the screen instantly.
