Completing payments in TRAX POS is optimized for high-volume retail environments with integrated cash calculators, fast denomination buttons, and automated change calculations.
1. Launching the Payment Modal #
- Once all items are registered in the cart, verify the Grand Total.
- Click the prominent green PAY button (
pi pi-wallet) at the bottom of the cart panel. - The dedicated full-screen Payment Modal opens.

2. Payment Modal Layout & Tools #
The payment interface is divided into two operational halves:
Left Half: Calculator & Currency Denominations
- Cash Tendered Display: Large digital readout displaying customer cash received.
- Fast Denomination Buttons: Quick single-tap buttons for common banknotes (
€5,€10,€20,€50) to avoid manual typing. - On-Screen Keypad: Touch numeric buttons (
0–9,.,Cto clear,⌫backspace).
Right Half: Financial Summary & VAT Details
- Order ID & Cashier Name: Audit references.
- Subtotal & Discount: Net pricing.
- Itemized VAT Breakdown Table: Displays exact fiscal brackets (e.g.,
19% Standard,7% Reduced, Netto, and Brutto totals). - Total Due: Final payable balance.
3. Executing the Payment #
- Cash Payment (
CASH): Tap the tendered banknote amount (e.g., customer gives€50.00for a€34.08bill) and click CASH:- The system instantly calculates the exact return amount:
Change: €15.92in a bright emerald green highlight box. - An automated kick-out signal pops open the electronic cash drawer.
- The receipt prints silently and instantly via PrintAgent.

- Card Payment (
CARD): When the customer pays with a debit/credit card, tap CARD. The transaction completes with zero change due. - Closing the Window: Click Close / Finish to reset the counter for the next customer in line.
